I can still recall the maliable and utterly satisfying feeling of squeezing edible play-doh between my fingers while sitting at the old oak kitchen table. I remember building castles out of this play-doh and licking my fingers clean once my masterpiece was complete; no doubt my older brother would not be far behind in knocking it down and eating parts of it as an afternoon snack.
The edible play-doh of my eighties childhood was as followed:
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 5 oz Powdered or Dried Milk
Mix all three ingredients together and you have an afternoon of fun and snacks. For lactose intolerant persons, I’ve heard this is a great substitute recipe:
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 4-6 oz. Corn Flour or Corn Meal
